One of my first childhood music memories is of mis-hearing the name "Paula Abdul" as "Paul Abdul," and thinking that he sounded a lot like a girl. Eventually this misunderstanding became public in my 4th grade classroom, and lots of pointing and laughing ensued. Oh to be 9 again.    These references remind me of college, not my childhood.
