This is the future home of girlpants.org, an mp3 blog ded­i­cated to unearthing and dis­sem­i­nating great music of all kinds to hip­sters of all creeds. We are also ded­i­cated to ter­rible fashion choices, the Moun­tain Goats, and overly intro­spec­tive self-analysis. Basi­cally, you owe it to your­self to read us.

Our target date for opening (the day girl­pants will “drop,” in the par­lance of our times) is Jan. 1 2006. There will be a launch party com­plete with obnox­ious branded mer­chan­dise, ridicu­lously extrav­a­gant hors d’oeuvres, and entirely unfounded opti­mism for the future of the enter­prise. Be there in your most ironic shirt. Wear that white belt. Be sure not to brush your hair. And for god’s sake, get rid of the trucker hat and the aviators–that shit is so last summer.
